71 Challenger, 90K+ miles, 318 2bbl, console automatic, power steering, manual drum brakes, complete air conditioning, rear window defog, green with a green interior and top. Complete running car when parked in 1983. Hood was replaced with factory unit decades ago. Grille, headlight bezels and tail light panel in outstanding condition. Standard gauges, no front sway bar, 8-1/4" rear end. Just another 1 of a zillion entry level V-8 Challengers, but it IS a 71. Engine is free and we are in the qualifying process, seeing if we can get it to run and drive on the lot. This is a very complete car with exceptionally nice trim--grille, window trim, and rear light panel. Gauges, radio and switches are all there and look to be serviceable. Door panels and rear side panels are uncut and look to be re-useable if dyed. Factory seats will be able to be re-covered easily. Will need some sheet metal replaced but much less than normal--quarters, trunk floor and drivers rear floor. Only looks like minor patches beyond that. Windows work smoothly for their age and the glass could be re-used. Doesn't show any signs of being in any major wrecks bending the frames or floors, but has a dealership parts department issued replacement hood. May have nudged the front into something and replace the hood and front grille work. Front bumper looks to have been straightened and re-chromed and the condition of the grille and headlight bezels indicate that all that could have been replace back when new parts were still available through dealers. The expensive 71 specific pieces will be able to be reused as is, or reconditioned easily.
